An installation by Ronak based on her poems and short stories.
In this creation she combines painting and sculpture as an architectural piece with the etherial world of her stories.
The stories are not necessarily related to one another. What they all have in common is the location.
A mansion that is or was the residence of the characters in the stories.
The house is represented by an attic (an architectural sculpture) and
the illustrations are hung on the wall and stories could be read to the audience on their demand.
The attic is an ongoing project and the illustrated stories will be published.

The Attic review by Mike Blow
Ronak Khakban's installation told stories
using words, sculpture and paintings. These stories had the feeling of
myths or folk tales, passed down through generations, and all shared
something with a red-roofed house depicted in the sculpture. One was
left wondering if all the tales happened under that roof, or if all
the characters were part of the same family, which parts of the
stories were true, and which were embellished over many tellings - and
finally, that only the old red roof knew for sure.
